Purpose

  • Raise awareness regarding sustainable development
  • Students understand the term extreme poverty
  • Students learn about the distribution of wealth
  • Students are aware of their impact as an individual

This lesson focuses on Sustainable Development Goal 1 - No Poverty.

It looks at the steps we need to take to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. The lessons include the key information including targets, videos and additional resource links.

Activities include matching the income exercise, a quiz, photo analysis and a link to a UN article. To conclude there is a PSHE assignment.
