Critical thinking

Prowise and the 21st century skills

Purpose

  • The ability to formulate a well-argued point of view, judgment, consideration, decision or opinion

Analytical ability is necessary to assess the true value of information and points of view - and be alert to errors. A critical attitude is a prerequisite to being well-informed. Students must learn to think about a subject, issue or problem. A student can then form an opinion or take a decision.

A Prowise touchscreen can offer visual support when addressing a given subject, and students can share their own thought processes on a personal device via ProConnect or Reflect. Students can work together in a Presenter lesson to draft extensive analysis, draw conclusions or express opinions. Various 'Concepts' can be found with the Presenter illustrations to help order text. Processes can be evaluated with the help of a ProQuiz.
