Cooperative work methods can be used at different times of the lesson and stimulate collaboration. Place mat is one of 17 cooperative work methods in which students discuss, listen to each other and come to agreements together.
- Draw a place mat in a Presenter file, save it and share it with the students. They open one Presenter file per group of four. Each student gets their own square and writes down his or her ideas and answers.
- Draw a place mat in a Presenter file, save it and start a collaboration session and let students work on their own devices within a Presenter file. Arrange who writes down their ideas and answers in what square. The teacher can assign students for this task in advance.
Next, the students will discuss, listen to each other and formulate a communal answer. They will write this answer down in the bottom right corner of the place mat. Save the file and share it with the other students.
